Hart Wells' students have gone on to pursue guitar studies with Jason Vieaux at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Dr. Douglas James at Appalachian State University, Julian Gray of Shenandoah Conservatory, Thomas Kitka at Duquesne University, Keith Stevens at James Madison University, Ben Verdery at Yale University, Nicholas Goluses at Eastman School of Music, John Patykula at Virginia Commonwealth University, and Dr. Thomas Patterson at the University of Arizona. Wells' private studio and public school students have won prizes at the Marlow Guitar International Youth Music Scholarship Competition, the East Carolina University Guitar Festival Competition, the Appalachian State University GuitarFest Competition, and the Aguado Guitar Concerts Competition in Sterling, VA.
Wells takes great pride in that each of his student's lessons are structured in a manner that best suits the needs of that individual student.
